Great idea Janice. I met your mother when the old bead store was still an antique store.

It's so nice to hear from you! Yes there are better photos-some absolutely gorgeous ones on the photographer's website. I don't have them to post yet, but if you want to check them out, go to the photos and log in with the password: liviasean The best photos are in the "getting ready" section. The bride was so gorgeous and happy. It was a thrill to make something that made her happy on her important day. I will post the better photos, when I have them.

I am looking forward to seeing you. I will definitely be going to the Gem show. Perhaps I can "tag" along with you!

Me again Janice - when I started the other comment, I couldn't view the rest of your message. My friend and jewelry partner can do wire wrapping and chain maile - even she doesn't know what my problem is - I have to keep trying - I'm going to check out what you sent me. Take care, Cindy
P.S. Thanks for the welcome - nice to meet people who have the same interest as you.

Hi Janice, thanks for contacting me - I'm new at this kind of thing - I usually like to read, but never really participated. I have contacted many people who do kumihimo and they have been a big help - I bought a book on kumihimo also, but I am the kind of person who has to be shown - for some reason I can't seem to get the hang of things unless I have someone standing behind me or doing it so I can see how it is done. Since I'm not great at wire wrapping and was taught to use headpins for my kumihimo, I found a wonderful lady who does jewelry and told me where I can get some end caps just to glue in my kumihimo - for me that works great. Have a super day, Cindy

Hi Janice,
Thanks for the warm welcome. We never expected a grandchild as my daughter was 41 when she had Phoebe. Its been a special gift and worth the wait. When I come out in Oct its only for a few days for a wedding and baby shower (two separate nieces). But I'm sure I'll be back to see my niece's twins in the winter. I have a website www.valerieg.com; it has the jewelry I sell but not what I make. Take care and enjoy Boston when you visit your daughter. I will post a picture. Valerie

Hi, Thanks--I spend several weeks in the winter in Laguna Beach. Will transition here eventually but for now...enjoy both East coast and West coast. Went to Berkeley in the 60 and started beading there. Have improved a lot since then but always looking for wonderful designs and good bead sources. Hope this site proves baluable. I generally just wear my designs and they sell right off my neck or wrist. Kinda flattering, fun and def profitable.
Thanks for the shout out. Let me know any great beading tips or designs or suppliers.

Anytime Janice...I work Monday through Friday in Menlo Park. I get off at 2:00 every day, so if you wanted to meet for coffee after that, it works for me.

Hi Janice,
Thanks for sharing about your fm strategies. I do many of the things you're doing -- water exercise, stretch, yoga, rest, play with my little dog, walk my little dog.... take breaks when beading...? I sometimes forget, but I'm trying harder. I'm on Lyrica, and I *think* it's helping; since I started it my worst flare-ups haven't been as severe. I've always been such a fire-cracker, so it's tough when I want to get moving on the marketing stuff, and I'm too tired (maybe procrastinating because I'd rather *Make* thing than sell them?). Just like everybody else I guess!
I'll try to get some more recent photos up soon. Take care and thanks!
Marsha

Thank you so much. Yes, I do love to make one-of-a-kind, interesting things. I haven't been doing a lot lately because of a health issue (fibromyalgia), but I've feeling very well lately, so I'll be back at it. Your website is so much fun, so much potential. Thank you thank you. Marsha

Good Morning and thank you Janice for your kind remarks and information. I do attend the gem shows in San Mateo. Sunday I will also pop in to the gem faire in Pleasanton being held this weekend.
I am not familiar with Presciso crystals from Czech Republic but I am familiar with other Czech Replublic crystal products. Is this their newest product? I will see if they have them at the show tomorrow in Pleasanton. I will also go online to INM Crystals.com and Fire Mountain Gems to look for that brand name.

Many thanks and happy beading. I live in Fremont and work f/t in San Jose. I am always on the lookout for new places to buy unique beads and take classes that aren't too pricey!

I didn't realize The Bead Shop had closed :( I bought some lovely emerald chips when I was down there last time. I'm glad you are continuing on the internet tho. I think that's where most specialized retail will end up.

Best on your continuing endeavor!

Here's my bead class page with a link to this group.
There's never enough time to keep our 800+ page site up, but I keep plugging away.

I am really flabbergasted by the quantity and quality of the survey responses. I am just going through them now and reading what everyone wants, loves and needs. I'll keep you posted! And, again, thank you for taking it. The direction I take for beadshop.com is definitely going to include what I learned.

We have over 900 responses to the survey!

There's still time and space to take it and tell me what you think! Once we get to 1500 replies, the survey door closes and that's that!
